Carl was very nice. But I would not use Precision Door ever again. And I would definitely not recommend them. I get the sense that they are sending out technicians that don’t actually know how to repair garage door openers, they are just expected to sell the customer a new, very expensive opener, which is a huge problem, since you don’t know when you call them that their openers are three times more expensive then a typical opener. If your technicians haven’t seen and repaired enough openers to know what is wrong with one, and their are only option is to replace it, that’s a problem. He kind of did a repair the first time which lasted maybe six or seven times and of course he did recommend that we get a new one, but the fact that he didn’t really know what was wrong with it in the first place. Didn’t really instill much confidence in his diagnosis and repair. This has happened to me before so I know what I’m talking about. One company I called to repair a dishwasher said they didn’t know what was wrong with it and that I should get a new one -a very expensive Bosch DW to replace it. I couldn’t really accept that so I called another company. They came out, cleaned part of the pump and it’s worked ever since. This seems to be a trend in service industries these days don’t bother training your people to do repairs just sell more stuff. I am beyond frustrated!
