The entire process went well with Precision up until the actual installation. I paid $750 for new springs, cables, and bearings for the spring/cable assemblies. After the installation we noticed a 'popping' sound coming from the springs when shutting the garage AND our motor seemed to be working 'harder' towards the bottom. When detaching from the motor and inspecting the garage/springs we noticed two things. The spring is in fact popping when Closing the garage door. And at the bottom 25% when closing there is noticeably MORE resistance coming from the springs. I stopped using my garage and had the technician come back out to make sure it was okay because I was worried about damaging our expensive motor. Long story short, he said there wasn't anything wrong with what we described, and in fact, 'we didn't pay for his premium springs' so we should expect noises.... I think it's safe to say everyone knows exactly the sound they garage makes because they hear it everyday, and also que's when someone in the family is home, AFTER this installation, my garage door sound terrible, like it's going to explode, every time we use it. I am incredibly unhappy that for $750 our garage door is noisy and potentially wearing down our motor all because we didn't get the 'premium' springs AND 'that should be expected'.
