Even after informing me he is the best installer ever, I can with confidence say that your installer is a hack. I say this having been in the construction trade for 30+ years. Granted it's a damn garage door, I get it, although it is a $7K+ garage door going into a garage with an expensive MMA floor and level 4 finish painted walls.... Meaning the environment is obvious, not quite a typical garage. So a few hinges are not level and as such won't wear even, so a few more fasteners need to be installed in the exterior flashing seal, so installation tools were haphazardly tossed on the aluminum extrusions and a few areas are scratched up, so the entire door had to be scrubbed/wiped down because apparently moving parts spray lubricant is best applied from a spray can at a distance of 2'so its in the general area, so there's (allot of) metal shavings on all the sills and all over the floor, so there's grease prints on the ceiling, etc.. I tipped him $40 when he was ready to go, even without a concern to clean up (outside of taking the photo of the exterior, which did get a half ass wipe down). At that point I wanted him on his way and I cleaned the mess up myself. Maybe the young installer is a great garage door mechanic in understanding the assembly but the work is that of a hack. I sincerely hope he learns and grows into a skilled craftsman someday as the world would be a better place for it, but he's got a ways to go. Makes me wonder who trained him and what Precision doors training program is all about. Double that on your safety training, you owe these installers some, or change up what you're doing because its not taking root.
