The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the efficient, safe, and effective receipt and storage of Precision Door Service’s inventory. He or she is a liaison between technicians, vendors, and office staff, for operations to run smoothly.


Duties and responsibilities


  • Receiving, warehousing, and distribution of inventory processes and procedures.
  • 3-way administrative match of received orders
  • Inspect for damaged/incomplete shipments.
  • Coordination of will-call pick-ups.
  • RGA’s/RMA’s
  • Miscellaneous logistics issues and problem solving
  • Conduct physical counts of products and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Maintain technician’s truck stock (carts, inventory usage reports.)
  • Maintain stock; inventory and ordering needed items.
  • Assist Managers, Technicians, and Installers when needed.
  • Stage doors in advance
  • Assist in loading technician/installer trucks.
  • Deliver miscellaneous parts to technicians/installers.
  • Inspect all warehouse equipment and ensure all warehouse equipment and vehicles function properly.
  • Help set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Fleet vehicle repair coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to maintain warehouse processes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to work with others in a positive and productive manner.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Skills in inventory control and management.
  • 3+ Years of warehousing experience.
  • Forklift experience
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license.
  • This position may be subject to random drug testing.
  • Must have a neat appearance.


Working conditions


The work environment described here is representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may be required to work in restricted spaces and access conditions. He or she is subject to both environmental conditions, with activities occurring inside and outside. Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee is required to use properly such safety equipment as appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.


Physical requirements


  • Medium to heavy work – Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and carry for up to 50 ft. As well as walking and carry items on uneven ground be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts; and have manual dexterity in both hands, which allows the use of a hand tool.
  • Talking – expressing and exchanging ideas and advice by means of spoken words. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing – perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound. Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment.
